Christian Voegtlin is Professor of Business & Society and Co-Head of the Center for Corporate Responsibility at the ZHAW School of Management and Law. His research, education and advisory activities are in the field of sustainability and corporate social responsibility, with focus on responsible leadership, responsible innovation and business ethics. His research has appeared in outlets such as the Academy of Management Perspectives, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Management Studies and the Journal of Business Ethics and has been featured in business media such as Forbes, The Guardian and Les Echos. Christian currently serves as associate editor for Business & Society. He is also member of several academic associations.

La vida en la ciudad se está convirtiendo en la experiencia humana por defecto, pero también está agravando algunos de los retos medioambientales y socioeconómicos más graves del mundo. Promover la naturaleza en las ciudades con iniciativas participativas puede ayudar a que las ciudades sean más resistentes, saludables y equitativas. Sin embargo, para que la naturaleza urbana alcance todo su potencial, primero tenemos que abordar la cuestión de la desigualdad de acceso a los beneficios medioambientales en las ciudades.

Únase a UrbanShift el 7 de diciembre de 2022 para reflexionar sobre las consecuencias del acceso desigual a la naturaleza en las ciudades, y cómo la naturaleza puede utilizarse como instrumento para promover la inclusión y la equidad en contextos urbanos.

Forética es la organización referente en sostenibilidad y responsabilidad social empresarial en España. Su misión es integrar los aspectos sociales, ambientales y de buen gobierno en la estrategia y gestión de empresas y organizaciones. Actualmente está formada por más de 200 socios.

Forética es el representante del World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) en España y lidera el Consejo Empresarial Español para el Desarrollo Sostenible, compuesto por los Presidentes y CEOs de grandes empresas españolas, que recientemente han lanzado la ‘Visión 2050. El momento de la transformación’ en España. Además, en Europa, Forética es partner nacional de CSR Europe, y forma parte del Consejo Estatal de RSE en España.

Forética nació en el año 1999. Posteriormente lanzó la Norma SGE 21, primer sistema de gestión ética y socialmente responsable. A día de hoy, más de 150 empresas y organizaciones están certificadas con la Norma en España y Latinoamérica.

Ocean health and climate change are inextricably linked: as CO2 becomes more concentrated in the atmosphere, it also builds up in the seas. The result, ocean acidification, will have disastrous effects to livelihoods if left unchecked. Already, coastal industries such as fishing and aquaculture are being hurt. Natural assets such as biodiversity and coral reefs are threatened. The consequences will be both ecological and economic. Yet solutions exist.

Join us as we explore what ocean acidification is, what we can do to avoid its worst impacts, and how governments, business leaders and scientists can co-operate to better respond to this existential threat within Japan and around the globe.

Mary C. Gentile, PhD, is Creator and Director of Giving Voice to Values (www.GivingVoiceToValuesTheBook.com), launched with The Aspen Institute and Yale School of Management and hosted at Babson College for 6 years, now based at UVA-Darden. This pioneering curriculum for values-driven leadership has been piloted and/or presented in over 1 365 sites globally and has been featured in Financial Times, Harvard Business Review, Stanford Social Innovation Review, McKinsey Quarterly, etc. Gentile is a consultant, speaker and author on GVV and was formerly the Richard M. Waitzer Bicentennial Professor of Ethics at UVA Darden (2016-2022) and was previously at Harvard Business School(1985-95). She holds a B.A. from The College of William and Mary and Ph.D. from State University of New York-Buffalo.
