Concludes Course Workshop Elaboration of Ethical Codes

The Chair of Sustainability "Alejandro E. Grullón E.", of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and the Popular Foundation, and the Center for Technology and Permanent Education (TEP) offered the Workshop Course on the Elaboration of Codes of Ethics, from July 27 to 30, 2021, in virtual mode.

The objective of the course was to acquire the basic notions for the elaboration of ethical codes for both public and private organizations. Through different sessions guided by questions: what is a code for?, what should its structure be?, how should I write it?, how do I disseminate it? and when should i update it? The participants managed, among other issues, to distinguish the different styles of codes and their uses, learned tools to collect and disseminate information to stakeholders, as well as to identify the values, behaviors and problems existing in an organization.

This course was taught by Martha Rodríguez Coronel, who is currently in charge of the Project Management area of the ÉTNOR Foundation (Business and Organization Ethics) directed by Dr. Adela Cortina. Rodríguez is an associate professor of ethics at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and in turn holds the Technical Secretary of Recerca - Revista de Pensament i Análisis and Millars magazine. Cordero Espaillat, Rosanna Checo participated in this academic program Aybar, Sarah C. Mayí Delgado, Silvestre Núñez González, and Yhanny Aquino.
