Santo Domingo, R.D.- In a virtual meeting, the Sustainability Chair "Alejandro E. Grullón E." from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) together with Fundación Popular, held the discussion “Dialogue on CSR: The Paris Agreement and COP26: time for implementation”.
During the panel developed, Dr. Max Puig, executive vice president of the National Council for Climate Change and Clean Development Mechanism, expressed the importance of generating these dialogues about the Paris Agreement and the 26th United Nations Conference on Climate Change ( for its acronym in English: COP26) and the need for countries to redouble their efforts to fulfill the established commitments.
Next, Dr. Leonardo Massai, principal adviser to the Coalition for Nations with Tropical Forests, presented the objectives of COP26, among which are: the adaptation of communities to protect ecosystems, climate finance and transparency. to achieve collective work between countries; meanwhile, he explained the global plan that aims to reduce the growth of climate change and measure progress in reaching the established objectives.
Also present at the activity, which took place on Friday, September 17, 2021, were Angye Rincón, director of the chair, and Elías Dinzey, general manager of the Popular Foundation.
