PUCMM, ANJE, and Fundación Popular establish an alliance

on business sustainability issues

SANTO DOMINGO, REP. DOM.- The Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), through its Sustainability Chair "Alejandro E. Grullón E.", the Popular Foundation and the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) signed an agreement for the development of initiatives and projects in terms of sustainability in young entrepreneurs and leaders in the Dominican Republic.

During the signing, the Reverend Father Dr. Secilio Espinal, rector of PUCMM, stated that, taking into account the vision of the Mother and Teacher, these entities come together to seek scientific solutions to the challenges facing the country and the world at through a strategic alliance that seeks to face challenges, contribute to sustainable development and correspond to the objectives of the 2030 Agenda in the Dominican Republic.

"For ANJE, education, promotion, and the adoption of best business practices for sustainable development are a priority, as well as initiatives at the national level that create economic, environmental, and social value, hand in hand with compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ), that is why this agreement is valuable for us and we know that it will generate unparalleled benefits for the young business ecosystem”, highlighted the president of ANJE, Luis Manuel Pellerano.

Meanwhile, Dr. José Mármol, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Reputation and Responsible Banking of Grupo Popular and Vice President of the Board of Directors of Fundación Popular, highlighted the importance of the agreement.

"We are pleased to collaborate with ANJE in their interest in advancing in terms of sustainability based on the high-level training that we offer through this chair, especially for SMEs and young entrepreneurs," said the bank executive.

The event took place on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in the PUCMM Rector's meeting room, Santo Domingo campus.
